Rebecca Hobbs, Showit website designer for florists and creative businesses

Rebecca Hobbs Studio has evolved quite a lot over the past few years.

What began with design and systems support for florists has gradually grown into something much more focused. I’ve worked with creative businesses at very different stages, from those just beginning to establish themselves to established businesses ready for a completely new website and online presence.

And one thing has become increasingly clear.

There isn’t one right way to build a website.

Some businesses need something completely bespoke. Some already have a beautiful Showit template but need help turning it into a website that actually feels like their own. Others simply need a professional place online to start, without investing in a large website before their business is ready for one.

So I’ve simplified the way you can work with me.

Three ways to create your website

Website design is now at the heart of Rebecca Hobbs Studio, with three different routes depending on where your business is now.

The Starter Site

The Starter Site is the newest addition to the Studio and something I’ve wanted to offer for a while.

It’s a professionally designed one-page Showit website with a connected blog, created for new and growing creative businesses that don’t yet need a full multi-page website.

One page doesn’t have to mean a small website.

Your key information can all sit within one carefully structured page, giving potential clients a clear understanding of who you are, what you offer and how they can work with you.

Rather than adding pages simply because a website is “supposed” to have them, I’ll build around the content and imagery you have now.

And because it’s built in Showit, your website can grow with your business. You can add new pages and functionality later as you have more services, projects, imagery, and content to share.

Template Customisation

Sometimes you’ve already found a Showit template you love. You can see the potential in it, but making it work for your business is another matter entirely.

Template Customisation gives you the foundations of an existing Showit template with the benefit of professional design and customisation.

I’ll work with your branding, copy and imagery to adapt the template so the finished website feels distinctly yours rather than like an off-the-shelf design.

This is a particularly good option if you already have strong branding and plenty of content but don’t need a website designed completely from scratch.

Template Customisation starts from £1,800 including VAT.

The Flower Fox Studio is an example of how an existing Showit template can be customised around an individual brand and business.

Bespoke Website Design

For businesses ready for something completely their own, Bespoke Website Design is the answer.

This is where we start from a blank page.

We design your website around your brand, your business, your content, and the experience you want to create for visitors.

It’s the right route when your business has grown beyond what a template or smaller website can comfortably accommodate, or when you want greater freedom over the structure and design.

Bespoke websites start from £2,500 including VAT.

Pesh Flowers is one of my bespoke website projects, created around an established floral design business and its distinctive brand.

Starting without a brand?

A website can only do so much if the visual identity behind it isn’t quite there yet.

For new businesses booking The Starter Site, I’ve also created The Starter Brand.

It’s a streamlined branding option that gives you the essentials you need to launch professionally, including a primary logo, sublogo and submark, colour palette, typography, and a mini brand guide.

We create your brand and website together, so everything feels cohesive from the start.

The Starter Site + Starter Brand is £1,095 including VAT.

Meet Alder & Row

To show what can actually be achieved with The Starter Site, I created Alder & Row Interiors, a fictional interior design studio based in the Cotswolds.

I created the brand identity and then built the website using the same approach I’d use for a Starter Site client.

It’s a one-page Showit website with a connected blog, but I didn’t want it to feel like a compromise.

There are services, selected work, testimonials, a process, investment information and an enquiry form, all brought together within one page. There’s also a fully functioning blog, giving the business somewhere to share longer-form content and support its SEO as it grows.

Alder & Row is deliberately fictional. It means you can explore the website knowing that everything has been created specifically to demonstrate what’s possible within this service.

Your website should fit the business you have now

I don’t think every small business needs to begin with a large website.

Equally, I don’t think being a small or new business means settling for something that feels temporary or unprofessional.

The important thing is choosing the right starting point.

That might be one beautifully designed page that gives your business a proper home online. It might be taking a Showit template and making it genuinely yours. Or it might be the right time to invest in something completely bespoke.

Whichever stage you’re at, the aim is the same: a beautiful, strategic website that represents your business properly and makes it easy for the right people to take the next step.

I’m really excited about this next chapter for Rebecca Hobbs Studio, and especially about offering different ways to work together depending on where your business is right now.

If you’re thinking about a new website and aren’t sure which route is right for you, you’re always welcome to get in touch. Tell me a little about your business and where you’re at, and I can point you in the right direction.
