If your content isn't ready, your project will be moved to my next available design week and a £50 rescheduling fee will apply.
What happens if my content isn't ready?
No. The Starter Site uses a flexible design system that allows me to create a layout around your branding, content and imagery.
You'll complete a questionnaire before your project begins so I can understand your business and the visual direction you're drawn to. I'll then make the design and layout decisions that best suit your content.
Will my website look like other Starter Sites?
The Starter Site is £595 including VAT and is paid in full when you book your design week. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
If you're booking The Starter Site + Starter Brand at £1,095 including VAT, you can choose to pay in full or split your investment into two payments. Your final payment must be made before your design week begins.
How and when do I pay?
The Starter Site has been created for new and growing businesses that need a professional online presence without the content or need for a larger multi-page website just yet.
If you already know you need several pages, a large portfolio or more complex functionality, my Template Customisation or Bespoke Website Design service will be a better fit.
Is The Starter Site right for my business?
Your Starter Site includes a WordPress blog styled to coordinate with your website.
I can also add up to three finished blog posts supplied by you. Your copy and images need to be provided before your project begins.
Because the blog is connected once your website is live, a holding page may be used during the build before the final blog setup is completed.
That last paragraph is worth having because it manages expectations around the Showit/WordPress setup.
What is included with the blog?
You'll need an established logo, colour palette and typography for me to customise your Starter Site around.
If you're starting without these, you can add The Starter Brand to your project. This includes your primary logo, sublogo, submark, colour palette, typography and a mini brand guide.
The Starter Site + Starter Brand is £1,095 including VAT.
Do I need to have branding already?
Yes. Your domain and Showit subscription are separate from the £595 Starter Site investment.
You'll need to purchase your domain separately. When your website is ready, I'll provide everything you need to set up your Showit account and transfer the website to you using a Share Key. I'll then connect your existing domain and take care of the launch setup.
Do I need a domain and Showit subscription?
Absolutely. The Starter Site is designed to give your business somewhere professional to begin, with the flexibility to expand as you need more space.
Standard pages such as About or Services can be added from £250. More complex Portfolio and Gallery pages are quoted individually depending on what's required.
If you already know you need a multi-page website now, Template Customisation or Bespoke Website Design may be a better fit.
Can I add more pages later?
Your Starter Site includes one round of minor revisions. This can include changes such as swapping an image or making small adjustments to your supplied copy.
The revision isn't intended for new sections, substantial copy changes or a change in the agreed design direction. Any additional work outside the included revision can be quoted separately.
What can I change during my revision?
Yes. Your Starter Site includes essential on-page SEO foundations, including page titles, meta information, heading structure and image optimisation.
As The Starter Site is a one-page website, this is a streamlined SEO setup rather than a full SEO strategy. Your blog gives you the opportunity to continue building useful, search-friendly content as your business grows.
